Welcome to MarkLaClair.com, a weblog that I have created to write about what I think about. Now, I don’t intend to simply write about myself, though I could probably do that and bore you to death. No, I intend to write about topics arising out of the business world that I live in that I find interesting and relavent. I may discuss my business or yours, thoughts I have about management, or new concepts that I dream up. I will likely omit my private life from this blog because that is…well, private and I don’t think that it deserves a website to discuss.
If you were to ask me today what I thought my greatest professional skill is…I would have a hard time answering that.  Not because I think that I have so many talents but because I am more a jack of all trades and master of none. What I mean is that I really have no true talent in any one discipline. I went to school for criminal justice, and now I own a marketing firm. Don’t get me wrong, I have some skills. But, I really don’t have a trade that I can say I have perfected.
What I can say for certain is that I am a thinker. Always have been. I would rather sit in a quiet room somewhere and think about things, than sit in that same quiet room and read a book. I like to think. It empowers me. Maybe I think too much. I don’t know. Let me think about it. My associates tell me that I am a visionary. I enjoy looking toward the future, envisioning what it will be like, where I want to go, and how great it can be. I guess this also makes me ‘un reveur’ (a dreamer).
My weblog here is likely to be a great deal about what I am thinking. And, since I think so much about business and professional life, I plan to write about just that. I want to invite any and all readers who I bring to this site, or who happen to land on it while surfing the web, to comment on my posts and to think with me…then share. So, here we go.
